Our second corporate event for this semester was a visit to Helsinki-based startup Holvi and to the office of Slush, the leading tech conference in Finland.
Arttu and Jonas from Holvi welcomed us and gave first a brief presentation to the company and to their work. After that we had a relaxed Q&A with them and the CEMS students got to ask all possible questions about startup life. The guys really seemed to enjoy what they are doing and hopefully inspired our CEMSies to apply for startups or to even start their own businesses.
Next we headed towards the Slush office, where we met Marianne who is this year’s COO for Slush and responsible for partnerships. She explained what it’s like to arrange a tech conference for 14,000 people and also told us what Slush means to companies and investors. There might be some applications from our CEMS students when this year’s search for Slush volunteers begins…
