A little update..and Hukkaputki! (wait...what?)

Hello everyone!
After the SPB trip and the end of the GMP course things have settled down and lots of us have been working on the GMP report, the expat interview, and, more than anything else...the infamous Business Project!

This week on wednesday we saw all the 6 groups shining equally when presenting their work to the Business and Academic tutors. None of the presented works have been either rejected or heavily criticized, in fact we heard a lot of praises and clever comments...I guess it was a well earned reward, since we all put so many hours and so much effort into our projects.

But we weren't happy enough with good words and biscuits, so we decided to go for Hukkaputki on the day after! Almost 3 groups got enrolled at the KY event, and we departed from there at 17.50, just about in time.

But what's Hukkaputki?
Basically you enrol at the event with a team of 5-8 people, you wear your overall and you head at the start of the event, at KY building, where you're given both the rules and instruction for the event, along with a metro map with all the stops where you'll have a bar or a pub adhering to the event and offering drinks at a very discounted price. The main aim of the race is to get each person atleast 8 stamps (6 for girls) on your paper, each given upon buying a drink at one of these bars/pubs. If you manage to do so and get back in time at the KY building at 23.00, you'll get a badge for your dear overall!

We poor exchange Cemsies were led (luckily) by our two veterans Nina and Olga, who had participated already 2 or 3 times, making them supah-experts in managing the trip-plan across all the bars. We in fact made it for the end of the event, and managed to have a healthy (haha!) dinner at McDonalds as well, the saviour of all exchange students here in Helsinki.

Needless to say, we loved the event. We got to know a little bit more about each university and their specific overalls (thanks to our dear guides), visited 8 new places for drinking that we had never been to, and managed to get friends along the trip as well.

Mini-event inside the event: Bernardo and Pascal racing up some automatic stairs inside the metro in the opposite sense and something like 20metres vertically high!
THAT crazy was the mood at some point in the night!

Well, enough for this week, next post we'll cover the long-awaited Stockholm Trip, where our local Cemsies await us with a very interesting plan for the weekend...

Have a nice day!
